Skills: Branding, Art Direction, Layout Design, Logo Design, Typography, Photography, Illustration, Hand-Lettering, Production
This is Stature Quarterly, an arts & culture magazine featuring my own interviews with explosive Seattle artists and makers. It was one of my favorite student projects because it allowed me to explore all different aspects of design and really put my best work into one finished piece. I completed this project with a ton of passion, learned more about the people I look up to and got to further strengthen my skills in typography, layout design, logo design, and use my own photography and artwork throughout.
For this quarter long project we were challenged to rebrand Seattle's Link Light Rail. We first established our brand characteristics including the brand promise, position, character and purpose. From there I gave the Link brand a new look and feel starting with a redesign of their logo, a northwest color palette and a more youthful attitude towards marketing for their tone of voice. I brought that all together with the rest of the graphics and design materials like Orca cards and billboard advertisements.
Research, research, research. Infographics are enjoyable to look at but the lion's share of the process is finding the appropriate data to display. Once we had that, it was a treat to put it all together.
